When people have a pattern of making agreements, are fully willing and able to hold them up, and yet do not deliver on the agreements, leaders need to confront the behavior and correct it. This correction needs to be made in order for teams to function effectively and fairly. Without the correction, individuals who have made agreements and not kept them lose interest in future agreements and wonder about their commitment to the team.
